SUMMARY:34th Annual All Corvette Cruise-in
DESCRIPTION:Join our friends from the Old Dominion Corvette Club of Sterling Virginia for their 34th Annual All Corvette Cruise in at Bomnin Chevrolet in Manassas Virginia.  Pre-registration is $15.00 (before August 11th\, link is below).  Day of Show is $20.  This is a rain or shine event.  Proceeds to benefit LAWS Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services\, Prince WIlliam County Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children\, and the National Corvette Museum.  All entrants to receive a dash plaque and door prize ticket.  There will be a DJ\, Food Trucks\, Silent Auction\, 50/50 raffle and more. \nIt’s a 3 to 3-1/2 hour drive from Virginia Beach to the Bomnin dealership.  Could be just a long one-day trip to participate in the show. \nYou can pre-register at the website address in the blue “DETAILS” box on this page which is also here. \nIf you’re interested\, please let me know!

SUMMARY:Carriages on West Street
DESCRIPTION:Our friends at the Corvette Annapolis Club are hosting their annual Carriages on West Street event.  This is an NCCC East Region Event.  The Concours car show is on Sunday\, August 13th from 9AM-1PM.  Registration prior to July 31st is $55.00 for all 4 events.  After then\, registration is $60 for the 4 events.  Online registration started on May 15th.  The event is sold out\, but you can be added to the waiting list. The link is here.  Know that the show is limited to the first 85 Corvettes! \nNot only is there a car show on Sunday\, but there is also a Happy-Hour/Meet-and-Greet on Saturday\, August 12th at the Metropolitan from 5:00PM to 7:00PM\, located at 169 West Street\, Annapolis\, MD 21401. Parking is available in the parking garage located in the rear. There is a breakfast on Sunday Stan and Joes from 8:30AM to 11:00AM located at 37 West Street\, Annapolis\, MD 21401. \nFor those wishing to travel as a group\, plan to meet Joe Wryk at the WAWA Service Center located at 5701 Northampton Blvd\, Virginia Beach\, VA 23455 (here) on Saturday\, August 12th at 9:30AM.  To ensure we don’t leave anyone behind\, please call Joe if you’re running late getting to the WAWA.  Joe’s phone number is 757-342-9207.  From Wawa\, we will head up the Eastern Shore to Easton\, MD\, about a 3.5-hour drive.  We will stop for lunch at “Hot Off the Coals” for some excellent BBQ.  After lunch\, we will continue onto Annapolis which is an hour drive From Easton. \nSince Beachcombers are scattered at various hotels in the Annapolis area\, after all get checked in\, we’ll meet at the event’s Meet-and-Greet which is from 5:00-7:00PM at the Metropolitan (location above). While there\, we can plan for follow on activities which may include dinner or other festivities. SUMMARY:Corvette Extravaganza
DESCRIPTION:Our friends at the Coastal Corvette Club of Delaware are hosting their annual Corvette Extravaganza at the Burton Lewes Automall in Lewes\, Delaware.  This is a Corvette-Only show with cash prizes and trophies for the first/top 10 places sponsored by Burton.  There are 20 additional trophies sponsored by the CCC!  See the flyer!  Coastal Corvette Club member’s cars will not be judged.  The car show benefits the Jason Anderson Foundation for Youth Sports.  There will be a 50/50 and prizes.  There will also be food trucks on site.  There is no pre-registration.  Onsite registration at the event site starts at 8AM.  Entry fee is $20.00 which includes a free breakfast. \nJoe Wryk will lead a day-trip group to Lewes and back.  You can meet up with Joe at the Wawa on Northampton Blvd (here) at 5:20AM on Saturday\, July 1st.  A prompt departure from Wawa at 5:30AM would have the group be at the Burton Lewes Automall around 9AM.  During the drive\, back the group will stop for dinner at one of the many restaurants along the route. \nFor those wishing to stay the night before\, on June 30th\, there is an Anchorage Motel ($225/night) and the Hampton Inn in Rehoboth Beach ($258/night).  A 40-minute drive away in Seaford is a Days Inn and Suites for $109/night.  Sign-up either at the Business meeting\, on-line (below)\, or call me. \nHere is the list of Attendees: \n\nGale and Wade Ridgely\nKaren and Dave Ambrose\nMarge and Joe Wryk\nBrenda and Skip Cutting\nFran and John Kummers\n\nThis list will be updated periodically.  Last updated on June 24th.

SUMMARY:Vettes at Waterside District
DESCRIPTION:Event registration is open!\nWe are going to have the Saturday car show at Waterside District.  We will be parking corvettes on the promenade on a first-come/first-serve basis.  Parking on the Promenade will start at 8AM.  Once positioned on the Promenade\, cars cannot move from 10AM until 4PM.  Once a maximum capacity is reached on the Promenade\, parking will be directed to the Multi-Use Lot (MUL).  Or if you prefer to park in the MUL\, it is your choice.  We will have raffle prizes and a silent auction on Saturday.  We will hold an informal “No Host” Meet-And-Greet event at the first-floor bar area Friday evening from 5:30-7:30pm.  Cost for the Saturday car show event is $25.00 per car. \nOnline registration at Eventbrite is here. \nIf you prefer to fill in a registration form\, the form is here. \n

DESCRIPTION:The date is set but the venue has been changed from Pigeon Forge\, TN to Gatlinburg\, TN to accommodate the larger number of attendees. \nLast Year\, several Beachcombers traveled to Pigeon Forge\, TN for the East Tennessee Corvette Clubs’ Vette Fest and a fabulous time was had by all. Due to the feedback following last year’s trip the Beachcombers plan is to go a day earlier and stay a day longer. The attached Flyer lists the tentative schedule. \nThe East Tennessee Corvette Club has a theme for their Vette Fest Event each year\, the theme for this year’s event is “CORVETTE PIRATES”. The time is now to begin thinking of what you’re going to wear\, I’m sure the Beachcomber Ladies will be planning A Beachcombers theme. \nJohn Kummers has agreed to lead the Beachcombers to Gatlinburg this year and has contacted the Skyline Village Inn located at 12255 N Carolina 226A\, Spruce Pine\, NC. The fun field or show field tickets are $80.00. If you want to drive in the Saturday night Parade there is an additional $30.00 charge. Also the 20X20 tent will be provided with parking around it once we meet the 25-car requirement. No additional cost for those signing up. DESCRIPTION:Bezwax Auto Detailing is a business in North Carolina that the Beachcombers have traveled to for a Tech Afternoon where we were indoctrinated in the art of hydro-dipping. The owner of this business is hosting this Cruise-In from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts located at 104 Currituck Commercial Drive\, Moyock\, NC. \nThere is no admission fee but\, donations are welcome. There will be a 50/50 raffle and silent auction items to bid on. All proceeds are to help local family that due to a foot amputation and limited income need financial help. There are several restaurants in the vicinity of O’Reilly’s so after the Cruise-In we can get dinner before heading home. Consider being a good neighbor and come out for this worthy Cruise-In.
