DESCRIPTION:Event registration is open!\nWe are going to have the Saturday car show at Waterside District.  We will be parking corvettes on the promenade on a first-come/first-serve basis.  Parking on the Promenade will start at 8AM.  Once positioned on the Promenade\, cars cannot move from 10AM until 4PM.  Once a maximum capacity is reached on the Promenade\, parking will be directed to the Multi-Use Lot (MUL).  Or if you prefer to park in the MUL\, it is your choice.  We will have raffle prizes and a silent auction on Saturday.  We will hold an informal “No Host” Meet-And-Greet event at the first-floor bar area Friday evening from 5:30-7:30pm.  Cost for the Saturday car show event is $25.00 per car. \nOnline registration at Eventbrite is here. \nIf you prefer to fill in a registration form\, the form is here. \n

SUMMARY:Corvette Extravaganza
DESCRIPTION:Our friends at the Coastal Corvette Club of Delaware are hosting their annual Corvette Extravaganza at the Burton Lewes Automall in Lewes\, Delaware.  This is a Corvette-Only show with cash prizes and trophies for the first/top 10 places sponsored by Burton.  There are 20 additional trophies sponsored by the CCC!  See the flyer!  Coastal Corvette Club member’s cars will not be judged.  The car show benefits the Jason Anderson Foundation for Youth Sports.  There will be a 50/50 and prizes.  There will also be food trucks on site.  There is no pre-registration.  Onsite registration at the event site starts at 8AM.  Entry fee is $20.00 which includes a free breakfast. \nJoe Wryk will lead a day-trip group to Lewes and back.  You can meet up with Joe at the Wawa on Northampton Blvd (here) at 5:20AM on Saturday\, July 1st.  A prompt departure from Wawa at 5:30AM would have the group be at the Burton Lewes Automall around 9AM.  During the drive\, back the group will stop for dinner at one of the many restaurants along the route. \nFor those wishing to stay the night before\, on June 30th\, there is an Anchorage Motel ($225/night) and the Hampton Inn in Rehoboth Beach ($258/night).  A 40-minute drive away in Seaford is a Days Inn and Suites for $109/night.  Sign-up either at the Business meeting\, on-line (below)\, or call me. \nHere is the list of Attendees: \n\nGale and Wade Ridgely\nKaren and Dave Ambrose\nMarge and Joe Wryk\nBrenda and Skip Cutting\nFran and John Kummers\n\nThis list will be updated periodically.  Last updated on June 24th.

DESCRIPTION:Our friends at the Corvette Annapolis Club are hosting their annual Carriages on West Street event.  This is an NCCC East Region Event.  The Concours car show is on Sunday\, August 13th from 9AM-1PM.  Registration prior to July 31st is $55.00 for all 4 events.  After then\, registration is $60 for the 4 events.  Online registration started on May 15th.  The event is sold out\, but you can be added to the waiting list. The link is here.  Know that the show is limited to the first 85 Corvettes! \nNot only is there a car show on Sunday\, but there is also a Happy-Hour/Meet-and-Greet on Saturday\, August 12th at the Metropolitan from 5:00PM to 7:00PM\, located at 169 West Street\, Annapolis\, MD 21401. While there\, we can plan for follow on activities which may include dinner or other festivities. DESCRIPTION:You are cordially invited to spend a Corvette Enthusiast’s Dream Weekend attending the 44th Annual Vette Fest\, in the heart of Tennessee’s beautiful Smoky Mountains.  Vette Fest is hosted by the East Tennessee Corvette Club (ETCC) as a Fund-Raising event for our Children’s and Veteran’s charities. \nWe hope you will join us\, and hopefully 200+ other Vette owners from across our nation. SUMMARY:Queen City Corvette Club's 12th Annual Corvette Show
DESCRIPTION:QUEEN CITY CORVETTE CLUB – CAR SHOW\nThe Queen City Corvette Club (QCCC) of Charlotte will be hosting their 2023 car show to be held in Charlotte\, NC at the Hendrick Motorsports complex and usually has 400+ Corvettes! \nRegistration is open!  In addition to registering for the show for $30\, you can also purchase VIP parking at the show’s center for an additional $30.  The link to register is here. \nAlso\, this year there are two separate tours at the Hendrick Motor sport complex.  The first tour is at the Hendrick Heritage Center to see Rick’s car collection which lasts about 1 hour.  Tickets are $30 each.  The second tour is at the Race Shop and Engine Shop for his 4 cars: the #5\, #9\, #24\, and #48.  Tickets are $30 each.  The link to these tickets is here. \n           Below are some suggestions on where to stay and things to do while in the Charlotte area in addition to the Car Show.  On Saturday\, the Car Show is scheduled for registration to open at 8:00 am and at 2:00 pm is the presentation of awards which should allow time for other things to do on Friday evening and Saturday after the show (suggestions below). \n\n            HOTEL: A hotel has been chosen where the price is more affordable than the host hotel\, it is centrally located and is only a mile from the Car Show venue.  The hotel is the RESIDENCE INN (By Marriott) Charlotte / Concord located at 7601 Scott Padgett Parkway\, Concord\, NC.  There is no block of rooms!  The hotel recommends for everyone to go online and book their own room.  There is a Senior Rate (62 and older) of $135.00 (+tax) per night\, breakfast included.  The Residence Inn’s phone number is 1-704-454-7862 should you need to call them. \n            Obviously\, you can stay wherever you wish but if we’re all at the same hotel we can socialize in the lobby in the evenings\, which in the past has always proven to be a fun time. \n            HEAD COUNT: For the Ghost Tour (see below) and dining reservations it’s imperative we know how many travelers there will be.  To keep the organizers informed of the number of people traveling on this outing please sign-up on the BCC Website\, sign-up at the September or October BCC Business Meeting\, or contact me.  This will be the count used for determining the tour size and cost and for making group lunch and dinner reservations. \n            PLANNING: We’ll depart from Greenbrier Mall on Friday\, October 20 at about 10:00 am and proceed to the Residence Inn\, which is about 300 miles away\, about a five-hour drive.  Naturally there will be ample convenience stops along the way as well as a lunch stop.  After checking in at the hotel we’ll head to the Mount Pleasant SMOKEHOUSE for dinner before the tour. \nOTHER THINGS TO DO \n            GHOST TOUR: Earlier this year the Beachcombers traveled to the Southern Grace Distillery which is in an out-of-use prison about two miles outside of Mount Pleasant\, NC for a tour and sampling of their Conviction Bourbon.  While we were there\, we learned that the distillery is haunted.  We also learned that they offer nighttime paranormal tours which sounds interesting for everyone.  We’ve obtained a private tour for the BCC on Friday night; DESCRIPTION:The Coastal Carolina Corvette Club is hosting their annual event.  The link to their upcoming 2024 car show event is here.  Know that on-line registration is open. SUMMARY:Vettes at Waterside District
DESCRIPTION:Our club is again hosting Vettes at Waterside Drive on Saturday with a Meet-&-Greet on Friday Night.  Our flyer is here. \nWe will have a “No-Host” Friday Night Meet-&-Greet will be from 5:30-7:30PM within Waterside District on ground/lower floor in the common area.  Just look for the Beachcombers Corvette Club banner. \nSaturday is our corvette-only car show.  There will not be trophies.  We will open the Valet Lane at Waterside District at 8:00AM for registration.  After registration\, we’ll have a photo taken for each car and then direct cars to park cars on the Promenade.  Cars that park on the Promenade will not be able to move until 4:00PM.  Should anyone need to leave before 4:00PM we ask that they park in the Multi-Use Lot (MUL)\, the side lot next to Waterside District.  Once maximum capacity is reached on the Promenade\, parking will be directed to the MUL. \nOn Saturday\, we will have raffle prizes and a silent action. \nWe need your help!  Please consider how you can make this event a success by helping with: \n\nVehicle registration (10 volunteers)\nHospitality (3 volunteers)\n50/25/25 raffle drawing (2 volunteers)\nTraffic Control/Parking (15 volunteers)\nPhotography (4 volunteers)\nDoor Prizes (donations)\nGoodie Bag Items (donations)\nSilent Auction (donations).\n\nDonation items will be accepted starting now until and including that Saturday.  Even if you cannot bring your car or volunteer to help that Saturday\, you can still donate!  You can bring donations to either the April or May Business meeting or by arranging a meet with any board member. \nOnline registration will be hosted by Eventbrite. SUMMARY:Corvettes At Myrtle Beach 2024
DESCRIPTION:In the past\, the Beachcombers have had as many as 12 cars make this trip!  It’s a nice event with a Friday night dinner and party.  Saturday is the car show with 250-300 Corvettes. There will be a lot of vendors and food will be available.  The show is held next to “Broadway at the Beach”\, which is a large shopping\, entertainment and food complex. \nTrophy classes include: C1\, C2\, C3\, C4\, C5\, C6\, C7\, C8(2020-2024)\, C8(Z06)\, Best of Show\, Best Engine\, Best Interior\, Best Custom\, Most Extreme\, Furthest Traveled\, Club Participation.  Last year\, Karen and Dave Ambrose brought home a Trophy! \nWade Ridgely will be leading the Beachcombers for this Event.  Thank you Wade! \nRegistration is open!\nThe on-line and mail in registration forms are here.  Directions for Hotel reservations are here.  Know the discounted rate will be available until May 1st or until rooms are sold out\, so book early!\nCar show only early registration is $30.00\, after May 13th registration is $35.  All events registration (includes Friday Banquet) is $130 per couple\, $80 single.
